Adobe AIR Launching Q4 2010, Flash Out of Beta Now for Nexus One FroYo

Submitted by on August 16, 2010 – 1:17 pmNo Comment

Adobe’s Android Summit is still moving along as of the time of this update, but Adobe’s thrown out some information you might be interested in if you’re a fan of their mobile products. Firstly, Adobe AIR should hit Android once the entire product line is stepped up to version 2.5 in Q4 2010. No word on if this will be available in the market or for Android 2.1 and earlier devices, but we expect more information to be released shortly.

Kevin – our correspondent at the event – also mentioned that Adobe noted that Nexus One owners running Android 2.2 can now see that Flash 10.1 has left beta stages and is available as a final release in the Android market. There’s no way for anyone else to check this right as Flash 10.1 comes preinstalled for the Android 2.2 version of HTC Sense (HTC Desire, HTC EVO 4G, etc) and for the Motorola Droid 2 – so there’s no market entry when browsing from these devices (and other devices – except for the OG Droid – have yet to receive an official upgrade to Android 2.2). Those on the original Droid may see it, but we haven’t been able to scrape up any reports to verify.

As the summit moves on, Kevin will be chiming back in with some (hopefully) exciting footage and information from San Francisco regarding Adobe’s full suite of products for Android.
